Immigration Evaluations
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in” — Matthew 25:35
We are committed to supporting individuals and families during life’s most challenging transitions. These evaluations are essential tools in helping attorneys and the courts understand the mental health impact of immigration-related stress and trauma.
Each evaluation is conducted with compassion, cultural sensitivity, and clinical expertise. I have been formally trained in conducting immigration psychological evaluations and bring over 20 years of experience working with diverse populations, including immigrants, trauma survivors, and underserved communities.
Throughout my career, I have remained deeply devoted to the well-being of children and families, with a strong foundation in trauma-informed care. This background allows me to approach each evaluation with a deep understanding of the emotional, relational, and cultural complexities that affect individuals navigating the immigration process.
Note: At this time, we only accept clients who have legal representation. Immigration law is complex and rapidly evolving, and partnering with an attorney ensures that your evaluation is aligned with your legal strategy and meets court requirements.
What to Expect:
- A thorough clinical interview, lasting up to 3 hours (via telehealth)
- Validated mental health screening tools as needed
- Coordination with your attorney to ensure legal strategy alignment
- A detailed, court-ready evaluation report tailored to your case
- A trauma-informed and respectful approach every step of the way
Why These Evaluations Matter:
Immigration cases often involve extraordinary circumstances. Psychological evaluations can:
- Help demonstrate emotional hardship to a qualifying U.S. citizen or resident
- Provide evidence of trauma related to persecution, abuse, or trafficking
- Document mental health conditions and their impact on daily functioning
- Humanize and strengthen legal cases through clinically informed testimony
